Initial Thoughts

Setting up this website through Hugo was far more cumbersome than expected. I took a liking to this Hugo theme early on, but the tutorial was not great, the multi-lingual setup seems intractably difficult to remove (so I will just have the setting be a random easter egg), and I had to rm -rf and reclone the repo on two separate occasions to try to reset things. And somehow, I could not find any other minimalist blog-centric dark-mode theme. So we’re stuck with the “awesome blog” theme, I guess.

I originally had written some thoughts about two months ago on planning out my quarter, but I never got around to reviewing it, and then I never found time during the quarter to actually get the website going. In subsequent articles, I’ll get around to discussing my goals with this website, my goals in general, and other things. I’ll probably need to spend some time thinking about how I actually want to be writing and who I’m really writing for. For now, I just want to have written something and posted it online.
